Struto Supports Campus Industries with their Virgin Media Marketing Campaign

Background 

Campus Industries is a leading student marketing agency based in the UK, renowned for its innovative and effective campaigns aimed at university students. Established to bridge the gap between brands and the Gen Z demographic, the agency employs a large network of student ambassadors to deliver targeted marketing efforts. Their expertise in creating engaging campaigns has attracted notable clients, including Virgin Media, with whom they have collaborated on several promotional initiatives.
 

Challenge 

Campus Industries sought to amplify their marketing campaigns specifically tailored for Virgin Media, targeting the student demographic through their 300+ campus ambassadors. The challenged they faced was in creating individualised landing pages for each of their ambassadors, so although the landing page would be exactly the same for each of the ambassadors, each would hand a unique URL specific to each ambassador allowing them to track the number of leads referred. 

With this challenge set before them, Campus Industries sought out a reliable partner who could provide such a solution, leading them to consider Struto due to its reputation and expertise in implementing robust digital marketing tools and integrations.
 

Solution 

To address Campus Industries’ unique needs, Struto designed a custom landing page solution integrated with the HubSpot platform. This approach allowed Struto to create a scalable system that could support the individualised campaigns run by Campus Industries' student ambassadors. 

Struto developed a template that allowed for contents of the landing page to be managed centrally while enabling custom links for each ambassador. This dual capability ensured that content could be updated globally while still being able to track the efforts of each ambassador and allocate the correct commissions proportionate for the number university students engaged. 

Struto's use of advanced web development techniques and HubSpot's powerful workflow capabilities enabled seamless campaign execution across hundreds of unique ambassador-driven landing pages.
 

Hurdles 

Struto encountered a few minor technical challenges. One significant issue was the need to develop a system that allowed for global content updates across all the landing pages while simultaneously permitting a custom URL to each student ambassador. 

This required the innovative use of JavaScript to ensure that each page could be individually tracked through a unique URL without affecting the global content. Additionally, implementing this complex solution across 300+ pages involved substantial support and guidance for Campus Industries' team.

 

Results 

The custom landing page solution developed by Struto significantly enhanced Campus Industries' campaign effectiveness. 

This new system eased the process of managing and deploying ambassador-specific campaigns, leading to improved tracking and attribution for each individual ambassador. The solution not only met the initial requirements but also exceeded Campus Industries' expectations in terms of functionality and user experience.
